About US:
Rocky grew up in the backcountry of Wyoming and Montana, spending his childhood summers inside of a national park where his family worked. He found a passion for building things early, spending most days in high school at the metals shop, welding, machining and designing things. In the evenings he would spend time at his mom’s sewing machine making backpack accessories, pockets, and compression sacks. As he matured he began working in various trades through college fabricating large steel structures, repairing and machining hydraulic rams. He eventually went on to work in the firearms industry as a designer and maker.
Prior to Steadfast Systems Rocky was a faculty member at a university business department and moonlighted as a product design and supply chain consultant. He enjoys help people learn, how to think, not what to think.
Alyx grew up in central Montana, the typical Montana girl she did every activity under the sun, skiing, water sports, ATV riding. Her family lived for the weekends to get outside and take their family on adventures. Alyx grew up quilting with her grandma making her an excellent eye for a straight stitch. Alyx is a task-master and logistics savant she keeps the products organized and Rocky on task.
Both Alyx and Rocky have spent significant time exploring the western United States in their GX 460 and Tacoma. The culmination of mechanical ventures and adventures was a desire to combine their two passions, create real-life solutions for people who find themselves adventuring self supported, with remote destinations in mind, with limited space for the right tools.
